Description
An explosive device had been planted at the Renault dealership on Muelle de Marzana by ETA. María Luisa Sánchez Ortega was walking home at around 10.40 pm when the device went off and caught the full impact of the blast. She lost both legs ad suffered severe injuries to the pubis, eyeballs and ribs. She died at around 1:20 am while undergoing surgery at Basurto Hospital. Her husband was ill and her children were unemployed and her job as a cleaner was the family’s only source of income.
