Description
A few months before Isidro Jiménez Dual was killed, a member of Jarrai, who was a Herri Batasuna representative in the elections, had used the electoral roll to draw up lists of names and addresses of people he claimed were involved in peddling drugs. The Jiménez Dual brothers were on one of the lists.
The information was passed on to ETA, which decided to kill Isidro. They placed an explosive device under his car. On the morning of 9 January, when Isidro was on his way to work at the flea market, he started his van and the bomb exploded and he received extremely serious injuries. He died two days later. Also injured were bystanders Bienvenido García, Matta Recio and Araceli González.
