Description
Fernando Jiménez Pascual had taken his father’s car to go to work that day. On returning home, he parked the car and was waiting for his family to come down. He was about to get into his own vehicle when he noticed a suspicious object under the seat. He picked it up and the device exploded. The roof and front of the vehicle were blown about 20 metres away. The mutilated body of the civil guard was found among the twisted debris of the passenger compartment. The blast severely wounded Silvia González Chaves, who suffered traumatic injuries to the face and skull.
