Begoña Urroz Ibarrola, aged just 22 months, received serious burns to the legs, arms and face when an incendiary device went off in one of the left luggage lockers in Amara station. She died as a result of her wounds. Begoña died as the result of the serious burns caused by the incendiary device planted in one of the left luggage lockers in Amara station in Sean Sebastian. Begoña was the eldest child of a couple living in Lasarte, Juan Urroz and Jesusa Ibarrola.

Baby Begoña Urroz is the first victim of terrorism recognised in Spain. Although her killing was long attributed to ETA, investigations by the Victims of Terrorism Memorial Centre have concluded that the attack was perpetrated by the terrorist group Directorio Revolucionario Ibérico de Liberación, a short-lived Spanish-Portuguese group opposed to the Franco and Salazar regimes.
