Description
On 18 July 1980, ETA assassinated Ramón Ledo Taboada in the town of Vergara, Gipuzkoa. Ramón, who was 23, had recently got married and his wife was shortly expecting their first child. Two armed and hooded terrorists entered the Aitor workshop in Bergara, owned by Ramón Ledo. They shot him five times at point-blank range, in the head, jugular and chest, inflicting severe wounds. His colleagues took him to the health centre in Mondragón, where he later died.
