Description
ETA planted an explosive device next to a lamppost in the Eguía neighbourhood of San Sebastián. At around 4 pm, as a vehicle occupied by four Civil Guard officers was passing on its way back to the barracks in Intxaurrondo, an ETA member detonated the bomb remotely from a nearby restaurant. The driver of the car, Corporal Luis Arago Guillén, was killed. The other officers, as well as two bystanders, were injured to varying degrees.
