Description
On the morning of Sunday 15 January 1978 a demonstration called by CNT (the National Labour Confederation) was held in Barcelona; around 15,000 people demonstrators turned out. At the end of the demonstration, a group of youths from a unit of the FAI (Iberian Anarchist Federation), threw several petrol bombs at the Scala de Barcelona night club. The building caught fire and subsequently collapsed entirely, killing four maintenance workers who were inside at the time, amongst them Juan Manuel López Masip.
