Description
José María Latiegui Balmaseda had just completed his day’s work. At around three o’clock in the afternoon, he went with a colleague to his car, which was parked in a workshop next to the factory, to drive back to San Sebastian. An ETA member came up to him and shot him once in the temple. He then got into a vehicle driven by a second terrorist and fled the scene. Latiegui fell to the ground. He was taken by ambulance to the Nuestra Señora de Aránzazu Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
