Description
Civil guard José Luis Fernández Pernas was stationed at the Port of Pasajes. Although he was posted at the headquarters in Pontevedra, he had been transferred as a reinforcement and was on duty at the main checkpoint to the port. On the night of June 13 1983, that ETA members shot and killed him using a telescopic rifle. He was hit by a single gunshot to the head and killed instantly.
