Description
The terrorist organization ETA had attached a bomb to the side of a hut next to one of the quays in the port of Pasajes. At around 7:00 am, when several civil guards from the port’s Goods Control Tax Service were approaching the checkpoint to carry out a routine inspection, a terrorist detonated the bomb remotely. Officer Francisco Robles Fuentes was killed in the explosion. The other civil guards were injured.
