Description
At around 7 am, Eladio Rodríguez García started his vehicle to go to work. At that moment, an explosive device attached to the underside exploded. It had been planted by members of the Vizcaya unit of ETA. The inspector was killed instantly by the blast.
He had left his home with the 15-year-old son of the woman with whom he was living. However, the boy had gone back to get an umbrella, and was unharmed.
