Description
Lieutenant César Uceda Vera was shot in his own vehicle as he was leaving his home in Bilbao to go to the barracks in Munguía. The car careered down the road for several metres before crashing into a dry cleaner’s. César Uceda was gravely injured, but fought for his life for nearly a month, before eventually succumbing to his injuries on 17 November. He had been the target of death threats for some time, but had said nothing to his family so as not to worry them.
