Le 3 janvier 1979, vers 14h45, deux membres de l\u2019ETA l\u2019attendaient pr\u00e8s de son domicile, au num\u00e9ro 63 de l\u2019avenue Men\u00e9ndez Pelayo. Quand les terroristes le virent arriver, ils sortirent de derri\u00e8re les voitures o\u00f9 ils se cachaient et tir\u00e8rerent sur lui \u00e0 bout portant. Ensuite, ils s\u2019enfuirent jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la rue Doce de Octubre, o\u00f9 une Seat 131 les attendait et prirent la fuite.
