Le couple fut abord\u00e9 par un individu qui leur tira dessus \u00e0 plusieurs reprises \u00e0 bout portant, d\u2019abord sur le mari puis sur sa femme.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019ETA justifia l\u2019attentat en accusant les victimes d\u2019\u00eatre toxicomanes. Pourtant, l\u2019analyse toxicologique post-mortem effectu\u00e9e sur Paredes et Moreno devait confirmer qu\u2019il n\u2019y avait aucune marque de drogue dans leur sang et aucune marque de consommation. Gregorio Ord\u00f3\u00f1ez, qui serait assassin\u00e9 par l\u2019ETA en 1995 fut le seul homme politique \u00e0 se rendre \u00e0 l\u2019enterrement de Paredes et Moreno.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Javier Marcos Espiga, 18 ans, fut \u00e9galement bless\u00e9 par les balles. Il \u00e9tait en train de faire son service militaire au Commandement de marine de Pasajes et dut \u00eatre op\u00e9r\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Corporal Miguel Oren\u00e9s Guillam\u00f3n had been posted to San Sebasti\u00e1n on Friday, 6 April, together with Corporal Juan Bautista Peralta and Sergeant Gin\u00e9s Pujante Garc\u00eda, to provide reinforcement for the anti-terrorist forces there. They went out for a walk in civilian clothes. As they were returning to the Loyola barracks, several terrorists opened fire with machine guns from a stolen taxi. Two of the victims were killed instantly.
