Gu\u00e9ri de ses blessures, il poursuivit sa vie normalement et avait l\u2019habitude de fr\u00e9quenter le bar Tres Cepas, dans la rue Zubiaurre de Renter\u00eda. Le 20 octobre 1983 deux terroristes l\u2019appel\u00e8rent depuis le pas de porte du bar et lui tir\u00e8rent dessus \u00e0 bout portant.<\/p>\n<p>Deux de ses trois enfants furent les premiers \u00e0 arriver sur le lieu de l\u2019attentat. L\u2019un d\u2019entre eux, Manu, raconta dans une interview comment ils avaient v\u00e9cu les journ\u00e9es qui suivirent l\u2019attentat : \u00ab Ma m\u00e8re est rest\u00e9 assise dans le couloir pendant les trois jours qui suivirent, la porte de la maison ouverte ; elle esp\u00e9rait voir mon p\u00e8re entrer par la porte \u00bb.
