Les clients habituels de ce bar \u00e9taient g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement des immigrants et occasionnellement des agents de la Guardia Civil. Quelques minutes apr\u00e8s que les agents aient command\u00e9 une boisson au comptoir, quatre individus entr\u00e8rent dans l\u2019\u00e9tablissement et command\u00e8rent deux gin tonics, un demi cuba libre et une eau tonique, pay\u00e8rent et sortirent. Ils revinrent quelques secondes plus tard avec des armes qu&#8217;ils avaient laiss\u00e9es dans un v\u00e9hicule gar\u00e9 devant la porte.<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s avoir violemment s\u00e9par\u00e9 du groupe la femme de l\u2019agent S\u00e1nchez Marfil, les terroristes se mirent \u00e0 tirer par derri\u00e8re et \u00e0 bout portant sur les trois agents de la Guardia Civil qui n\u2019eurent pas le temps de r\u00e9agir. Les agents moururent presque imm\u00e9diatement mais furent n\u00e9anmoins achev\u00e9s par une autre balle dans la t\u00eate alors qu\u2019ils s\u2019effondraient \u00e0 terre. Les quatre terroristes s\u2019enfuirent dans un v\u00e9hicule qu\u2019ils avaient vol\u00e9 avec l\u2019aide de Juan Mar\u00eda Tapia, un collaborateur de l\u2019ETA qui les avait \u00e9galement accueillis pour dormir chez lui.<\/p>\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 la pr\u00e9sence de nombreux clients dans le bar au moment de l\u2019attaque, aucun des t\u00e9moins ne voulut collaborer \u00e0 l\u2019enqu\u00eate et contribuer \u00e0 d\u00e9masquer les terroristes qui avaient agi \u00e0 visage d\u00e9couvert.
