L\u2019industriel \u00c1ngel Berazadi Urbe, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Sigma, fut enlev\u00e9 dans l\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi du 18 mars 1976 alors qu\u2019il sortait de son entreprise ; en \u00e9change de sa lib\u00e9ration, le groupe terroriste exigeait une ran\u00e7on de 200 millions de pesetas. Berazadi fut d\u00e9tenu pendant vingt jours dans la ferme Ipiola, \u00e0 Itziar, par les Comandos Bereziak (sp\u00e9ciaux) de l\u2019ETA politico-militaire, dirig\u00e9s \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9poque par Eduardo Moreno Bergareche, alias Pertur.<\/p>\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 les tentatives de la famille de payer la ran\u00e7on en \u00e9change de la lib\u00e9ration de l\u2019industriel avec l\u2019aide du PNV, parti dont \u00c1ngel Berazadi \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s proche, elle ne put obtenir la somme exig\u00e9e par l\u2019ETA et le 8 avril 1976, apr\u00e8s vingt jours de captivit\u00e9, le corps de Berazadi fut retrouv\u00e9 dans un foss\u00e9 sur la route entre Elg\u00f3ibar et Azcoitia, face vers le haut, les yeux couverts par des lunettes de soudeur et abattu d\u2019une balle dans la nuque. C\u2019\u00e9tait la premi\u00e8re fois qu\u2019un enl\u00e8vement de l\u2019ETA se terminait tristement par un assassinat.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c1ngel Berazadi parlait parfaitement le basque et \u00e9tait consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme un grand promoteur de la culture basque ; il avait parrain\u00e9 la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019ikastolas \u00e0 Elg\u00f3ibar, Zarauz et Saint S\u00e9bastien, et avait \u00e9t\u00e9 Pr\u00e9sident de l\u2019\u00e9quipe de football de Zarauz. Son enl\u00e8vement et son meurtre eurent lieu un an apr\u00e8s qu&#8217;il eut re\u00e7u une lettre de menace de l&#8217;ETA lui demandant de remettre dix millions de pesetas.
