En 1979 il vivait avec eux dans une ferme \u00e0 huit cents m\u00e8tres d\u2019Ib\u00e1rruri. Quelques mois avant son assassinat, le 2 novembre 1978, l\u2019ETA avait assassin\u00e9 son ami Juan Cruz Hurtado que les terroristes accusaient d\u2019\u00eatre \u00ab confident, ultra-fasciste et gu\u00e9rillero de Cristo Rey \u00bb, exactement les m\u00eames motifs que ceux invoqu\u00e9s pour justifier l\u2019assassinat de Vicente Irusta.<\/p>\n<p>Un groupe d\u2019enfants trouv\u00e8rent son corps dans un sentier entre Zugastieta et Ib\u00e1rruri, \u00e0 quelques trois cents m\u00e8tres \u00e0 peine de la ferme dans laquelle il vivait. La victime avait re\u00e7u trois tirs de fusil de chasse et il \u00e9tait visiblement mort vid\u00e9 de son sang dans le pr\u00e9.
